Art Dubai 2026 (Digital): Agnes Questionmark, Enric Ansesa

AWL Gallery announces its inaugural participation in Art Dubai Digital with a presentation uniting two generationally distinct yet conceptually resonant artists: Agnes Questionmark and Enric Ansesa. The exhibition centers on enduring questions of memory, embodiment, and resilience, explored through both historical and contemporary perspectives.

Questionmark, an internationally exhibited artist whose work has featured at the 60th Venice Biennale and at the Frankfurter Kunstverein, among other prominent institutions, examines the body and vulnerability through her three-channel video installation Opera Medica. Ansesa, whose six‑decade practice has been exhibited across Europe, presents his new digital work Life, a continuation of his monumental triptych Memories of Sea and Death, which was featured in his major solo exhibition Back to Black; Chapter I at AWL in Girona in 2025, further extending his exploration of abstraction and historical memory into a digital format for the first time in the region. By juxtaposing their practices, the exhibition creates a cross‑generational dialogue that bridges historical reflection and contemporary experience.
