Elena Garrigolas is a Spanish visual artist born in 1998 in Girona, Catalonia. She graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona in 2020. Her work delves into themes of identity, trauma, and the human body, often employing surreal and grotesque imagery to explore personal and collective experiences.
Garrigolas gained significant attention with her debut solo exhibition in the UK at Saatchi Yates Gallery in London in 2023, which featured 17 new works blending dreamscapes, internet culture, and personal experiences into captivating and surreal self-portraits. Her art has been described as a form of healing and self-expression, reflecting her journey and emotional landscape.
